​Under the direction of special program director Giselle Tongi-Walters of Pamana Media Project, youth from Kayamanan Ng Lahi Philippine Folk Arts, ages 7 to 17, were trained by local media professionals to develop, shoot, and edit short documentaries that explore their identities as students of Philippine folk arts. Through documenting the stories of their immigrant families, cultural traditions, and community, media became the vehicle for self-expression and self-identification.

The films debut October 1, 2020, 12 pm, at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival and will be available to viewers in the United States through October 31. For ticket and event info, click here.
